ORDERING
Watts Antenna Company operates with its customers and potential customers in a very interactive manner. This consultative style allows us to gain a thorough understanding of the requirements and complex issues to assure that the optimal solutions are determined before we recommend the specific systems and products to offer. We operate in the strictest confidence with each and every inquiry.
We invite all inquiries for information about systems and services.
In evaluating an airport site for a potential system installation, we need to determine the site as a bona-fide site for our products and to conclude which end-fire model or other product will meet the requirements of the airport, in accordance with our standard policy. At that stage Watts is able to provide a formal quotation for supplying a system for a site.
In the case of the glide slope systems, we ask for detailed topographic information about the airport site, the approach region, the Category of Service sought the slope of the runway, the threshold crossing height (TCH), and the desired glide slope angle.
To complete the site review, we will request a 360-degree panoramic photo taken at the runway touchdown point (i.e., abeam the runway at the anticipated position of the glide slope antenna) and detailed topographic data showing the runway shoulder contour for the first 1,500 feet of Runway and also 5 miles out into the approach region that depicts terrain contours beneath the approach path and +/- 10-degrees to each side of the approach.
We apply this same approach to understanding the needs of our customers so that we can tailor technical services, engineering support, on-site consultation, and the delivery of spare parts and subassemblies as required.
