Antenna Completes New Systems Deliveries for 2006 – 2007 FAA Contract
Herndon, VA: 4 May 2007:
Fifteen months into its current production contract with Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA), Watts Antenna Company has delivered five
new Model 106 End-fire Glide Slope Antenna Systems (EFGS) and has
completed factory-upgrades for five additional systems for the FAA. The
FAA contract was put in place to respond to the current and projected
demand for use of the EFGS at difficult sites in the U.S. over the next
several years and to maximize supportability of FAA’s existing
installations.

Arrangement For End-Fire Glide Slope Antenna Sales
in China: First Model 106 Installation Completed in
January 2007

Watts Antenna
Company is pleased to announce that Park Air Systems
AS has completed the installation of a Model 106
End-fire Glide Slope Antenna Systems at Jiuzhai
Huanglong Airport, China, the first end-fire system
fielded in that country. This system is the initial
purchase by Park Air from Watts under an exclusive
supply agreement between the two companies for
end-fire systems in China.

Complete Advanced Factory Training

Ten students completed the
latest week-long advanced factory training program on the End-fire Glide
Slope Antenna Systems during the first week of December. Including this
class, more than 45 individuals have attended the intensive course over

First Installation of
GP-5A Antennas at Zurich, Switzerland
Herndon, VA: 7 November 2006:
Watts Antenna Company is
pleased to announce that its Model GP-5A highly-directive glide path
antennas have been installed on Runway 16 in Zurich, Switzerland. The
first-ever installation of these antennas, Watts worked with Skyguide
(Swiss Air Navigation Services, Ltd.) closely to identify and address a
number of site issues and problems that the GP-5A could solve.

201, Successfully Completed a Full Commissioning Flight Inspection With Monitors at Geneva, Switzerland
Herndon, VA: 20 May 2005: Watts Antenna Company is pleased to announce the successful installation of the very first
commercial-grade Model 201 Super Aperture Slotted Cable Localizer Antenna for use on Runway 23 in Geneva, Switzerland. A reduction in structure roughness of 50% or more was gained by employing the first super-aperture

First On-site Factory Training for the Watts Model 201 Localizer Antenna Conducted at Geneva, Switzerland
Herndon, VA: 20 May 2005: Watts Antenna, under contract with Skyguide, conducted on-site training for seven of Skyguide’s engineers and technical personnel at Geneva during the last
week of April. Those participating included Francois Aebi, Herve Demule, Michel Grandjean, Pascal Heimoz, Andreas Pfisterer, Philippe Schmid, and Eric Tatzber. John H. Johnson, Sr., president of Watts Antenna, conducted
a week-long session of technical discussions and interchange that included “hands-on” work on the newly-installed Model 201.

Largest ILS Localizer Antenna in the World, Watts Model 201, First Installed in Geneva Switzerland
Herndon, VA: 8 April 2005: Watts Antenna Company is pleased to announce the installation of the very first commercial grade Model 201 Wide Aperture Slotted Cable Localizer Antenna in Geneva Switzerland in
the first quarter of 2005. The installation is being performed by Skyguide, Swiss Air Navigation Services, Ltd., of Switzerland and represents a cooperative effort between Skyguide, Watts Antenna, and
Park Air Systems of Norway. full article
Watts 270-Foot Model 201 Localizer Report Issued by Ohio University
Herndon, VA: 30 September 2004: Ohio University issued a technical memorandum entitled
“Evaluation of the Watts Antenna Company 270-Foot Wide-Aperture Slotted Cable Localizer Antenna and 8-Element LPD Reduced-Clearance Sector Array,” the fifth technical report on the localizer undertaken by the University
contracted by Watts Antenna. The Model 201 Localizer has the longest aperture of any localizer antenna in the world.

Field Upgrade and Refurbishment of End-fire Glide Slope Antenna Systems Widens & Extends System Deployment
Herndon, VA: 30 November 2004: Ohio University, working with FAA, has continued
to upgrade end-fire glide slope antenna system installations throughout the United States, reflecting the improved engineering changes and hardware modifications undertaken by Watts Antenna Company over the last four years
as part of its comprehensive “Product Improvement Program.” The installations upgraded include systems in operation since the late 1970’s and are programmed to continue into 2005.
