THESE FACTORY- CERTIFIED INDIVIDUALS FOR END-FIRE SYSTEMS WORK FOR ASMI INC., AVINOR AS, HONEYWELL, JO-EL ENTERPRISES, Park Air Systems AS, SKYGUIDE, SOCOTEL LTDA., THALES ATM, U.S. FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION, AND THE U.S. NAVY/MARINE CORPS. 

Watts Antenna conducts an in-depth week-long, advanced training program at its factory on the end-fire glide slope systems.  Individuals are trained on all aspects of the system, including system familiarization; general requirements and specifications; theory of operation; standards and tolerances; periodic and corrective maintenance procedures; special configurations to accommodate complex installation constraints and siting issues; site evaluations; computer modeling benefits and temporary installations; installation, integration and checkout; troubleshooting; system optimization; antenna optimization; and flight inspection.  Each attendee gains practical hands-on experience using Watts’ facilities and equipment.

Individuals are only able to obtain factory certification for installation and optimization by passing a rigorous, comprehensive, 6-hour written examination.  An even higher score on the examination is required for certification as an end-fire trainer such that the individual has demonstrated technical mastery of the systems sufficient to train others.
