First On-site Factory Training for the Watts Model 201 Localizer Antenna Conducted at Geneva, Switzerland

 

Herndon, VA: 20 May 2005Watts Antenna, under contract with Skyguide, conducted on-site training for seven of Skyguide’s engineers and technical personnel at Geneva during the last week of April.  Those participating included Francois Aebi, Herve Demule, Michel Grandjean, Pascal Heimoz, Andreas Pfisterer, Philippe Schmid, and Eric Tatzber.  John H. Johnson, Sr., president of Watts Antenna, conducted a week-long session of technical discussions and interchange that included “hands-on” work on the newly-installed Model 201.

Mr. Johnson stated, “We are very pleased with the vision and support that have been demonstrated by Skyguide on various projects involving our Instrument Landing System (ILS) antenna products.  Skyguide exhibited great foresight to install the largest localizer antenna in the world to solve a difficult site issue at Geneva.  Their professional personnel applied their expertise and understanding of the technical and complex engineering considerations to create a successful project and training. We look forward to continuing our cooperative efforts with Skyguide.”
