Six Students Complete Advanced Factory Training for
End-fire Glide Slope Antenna Systems in May
Herndon, VA: 6 May 2005: Six students completed an intensive, week-long advanced factory training program on the End-fire Glide Slope Antenna Systems during the first week of May. Including this class, more than 30 individuals have attended the course over the last 12 months. John Johnson, president of Watts Antenna Company, conducted the training on all of the topics related to the system that need to be addressed and understood by ILS engineers and site technicians. The class was comprised of students from Park Air Systems AS (Oslo, Norway), Socotel LTDA. (Bogota, Colombia), SPAWAR Systems Center/U.S. Navy (San Diego, CA), and THALES ATM, Inc. (Shawnee, Kansas).

Mr. Johnson noted, “With an increasing number of end-fire sites being evaluated, particularly outside of the United States, the composition of this class reflects the global range of locations and international companies interested in and involved with our glide slope systems. Watts has delivered 12 end-fires for foreign sites, and the international community is committing to a number of installations in the near future.”
The next scheduled week-long session is October 3 – October 6, 2005.
